The smooth curved cedar roof slopes from the center to the sides of the house, where it transforms seamlessly into the walls as well as the floor. The front of our barrel doghouse offers a medium sized porch using a seamless extension of the roof.
Made of SOLID 1 ½” thick Knotty Eastern White Cedar (or the more exclusive Western Red Cedar) which is well know for is superior stability. Excellent craftsmanship combined with the natural curve of a barrel allows this unique doghouse to look fantastic in any landscape design.

Barrel doghouses are easy to clean
You don't have to worry about water absorbing into a wooden floor. The water will slowly seep through the joints in the staves. You may bore a hole in one of the 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 on the floor if you wish. Then simply clean the inside by hosing it down.

Barrel doghouses are easy to assemble
All barrel doghouses usually ship assembled or can be shipped with simple, easy to follow instructions and all hardware is included. You receive 2- walls, 1 ½” thick Cedar barrel staves which are the roof and floor, and 2 hoops to lock the staves in place.) With a common ratchet, complete assembly should take 20 to 30 minutes.

The cradles are now made from solid cedar. We no longer offer pressure treated as we do not want any dogs chewing on the toxic chemicales in the pressure treated lumber.
